"All Kinda Music"
A house concert is basically like an old time pot luck atmosphere
where the  musician(s) come to your home & perform for your
guests. It is intimate & casual, allowing artists & guests to enjoy
each other in ways that are impossible in public venues. This is
usually accomplished with no money out of pocket in the long run,
although we do require a deposit up front that is refunded at the
show. If you are looking for something different that your guests
will talk about for years to come, a house concert is for you. Here's
how it works:
The House Concert Plan:
  • Make contact with us to plan date, time, number of
    performers needed, acoustic or electric, etc. A contractual
    agreement is entered into at that time.
  • We will make a very nice flier to send as invitations to your
    guests. It can be sent electronically or by mail. RSVPs are
    highly encouraged.
  • A minimum of 20 guests are required, up to however many
    you'd like.
  • Normally, a $20 "donation" per person is required, although it
    can be less if more than 20 people are expected. That
    donation can be paid in advance or upon arrival. (We avoid
    "admission", as it makes your home look like a business to
    authorities, which of course it is not).
  • A pot luck dinner is usually served just before the
    performance. Performers mingle with your guests during that
    time.
  • At show time, the guests gather in the area you choose, you
    have the honor of introductions, and the performers usually
    play two one hour sets, with a break in the middle for
    chatting, CD sales, etc.
  • Requests from the song menu are encouraged & enjoyed by all.
